A social media caption generator for every tone and occasion
A caption has a simple job: stop the scroll with the first line, say something real, and give people a reason to reply. This social media caption generator writes ten captions at a time with exactly that shape — a hook, a line or two of body, a question or call to action, and hashtags sized for the platform — from a few words about your post.
Choose a tone (funny, inspiring, professional, casual or sales), a length, how much emoji you want and the platform. Captions come out in English, Hinglish or Hindi, and festival templates cover Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas, New Year, birthdays, Raksha Bandhan and product launches.
Each caption shows its length against the platform’s limit and its hashtag count; Instagram captions can be copied with an invisible character on blank lines so the spacing survives. Everything is assembled in your browser, and the optional AI button uses a model on your device.
How to generate captions
- Describe the post in What is the post about? — “Sunset walk at Baga beach in Goa with college friends”. The first key phrase becomes the subject.
- Pick an Occasion if there is one, then the Tone, Length and Emoji level.
- Choose the Platform and Language. Untick hashtags or the call to action if you don’t want them.
- Read the ten captions. Each shows a character meter, a hashtag meter and any warnings; replace [placeholders] with your own details.
- Copy a caption, star your favourites, or download all as CSV or TXT. Press New captions for another ten.
Social Media Caption Generator features
Hook, body, call to action
Short = hook + call to action; medium adds one body line; long adds three. On X and Threads, body lines are dropped until the caption fits.
Five tones, three languages
Lines written for this page in English, Hinglish and Hindi — not machine translations of each other.
Festival and launch templates
Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas, New Year, birthday, Raksha Bandhan and product launch greetings, each with its own hashtags.
Hashtags that fit the platform
Five on Instagram (the current limit), four on TikTok, three on LinkedIn, two on Facebook and X; none in the text on Threads, which takes one topic in the composer.
No engagement bait
No “tag a friend” or “comment YES” lines — Facebook demotes them — and no invented prices or claims.
Instagram spacing
Copies an invisible Braille blank (U+2800) on empty lines, which Instagram keeps.

Worked example
For “Sunset walk at Baga beach in Goa with college friends” the subject is “Baga beach” and the niche is Travel. With the casual tone, medium length and seed m4-test, the first Instagram caption is “Took a little break for Baga beach 🌍 / Nothing fancy, just good vibes. / Who’s coming next time?”, followed after a blank line by #BagaBeach #Goa #BeachLife #TravelTips #BudgetTravel. The professional tone gives hooks like “A closer look at Baga beach.” instead.
Choose Diwali and हिन्दी and every caption starts “आप सभी को दीपावली की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं 🪔” followed by “इस दिवाली पर Baga beach ने दिन को ख़ास बना दिया।”, with #HappyDiwali and #FestivalOfLights first in the hashtags.
Tips for captions that get replies
- Put the most interesting line first; on Instagram only about the first 125 characters show before “…more”.
- Ask a real question people can answer in a few words — it beats “like if you agree”.
- Use hashtags that describe the post. For a fuller set, use the Hashtag Generator.
- Check spacing and length before posting with the Instagram Caption Formatter or the Character Counter.
- For sponsored posts, start with a clear label such as “Ad” or “Paid partnership” — not hidden in the hashtags.
Social Media Caption Generator FAQ
How does the social media caption generator choose the subject?
It finds the key phrases in your description (ignoring words like “with”, “easy” or “today”) and uses the first strong one — “Baga beach” in the example. Write the main thing first if it picks the wrong phrase.
How many hashtags should a caption have?
On Instagram, at most five since December 2025. X recommends no more than two. This tool uses 5 for Instagram, 4 for TikTok, 3 for LinkedIn and 2 for Facebook and X.
Why does my Instagram caption lose its blank lines?
Instagram removes empty lines. With “Keep blank lines” ticked, copied captions put an invisible Braille blank character on each empty line, which Instagram keeps.
Can I get captions in Hindi or Hinglish?
Yes. Choose Hinglish for Hindi in Latin letters or हिन्दी for Devanagari. The lines were written in each language, so they read naturally.
Are AI captions sent to a server?
No. The AI button uses your browser’s built-in AI or an open model on your device, downloaded only after you agree. The regular captions don’t use AI at all.
Can I use these captions for a business?
Yes — they are yours to use and edit. Choose the sales tone, fill in the [placeholders] with real details, and avoid promising anything your product doesn’t deliver.
