Galaxy of Tools started with a simple frustration: the small tasks of daily life — merging two PDFs, resizing a photo, working out a loan payment — usually mean a search, a site full of pop-ups, an upload you are not sure about and, too often, a paywall at the last step.
We are building the opposite. One fast, clean site where 2247 tools (and counting) are organised into 47 clear sectors, each one free, each one usable on a phone, and each one honest about how it works.
What we believe
- Your files are yours. Tools process data inside your browser wherever that is technically possible. We do not upload, store or read your documents.
- Free means free. No accounts, no watermarks, no daily limits.
- Explain the result. Every tool page shows the method or formula behind the answer, so you can check it.
- Fast on every device. Pages are light, load quickly and work on slow connections.
How the galaxy is organised
Every tool belongs to one sector: PDF, image, video, audio, file converters, AI, maths, finance, business and HR, text, developer, SEO, security and more. Larger sectors are split into task groups, and every tool page links to the tools people use next, so a job that takes three steps — say, merging PDFs, compressing the result and signing it — is three clicks, not three searches. The search box understands plain language (“make my photo smaller for WhatsApp”), and the tools you save or use often appear on the home page, stored only in your browser.
What runs where
Files, images, audio and text are processed by JavaScript on your own device. A few tools need live data and say so on the page: currency rates, your public IP address, DNS and email-authentication records, and the page checkers that fetch a web address you give them. Nothing else leaves the browser, which is why there are no upload bars, no queues and no copies of your documents anywhere. Where a tool uses an AI model, it either uses the model built into your browser or downloads a small open-source model once, after you agree, and runs it locally.
Requests and feedback
If a tool is missing or something does not work the way you expect, please tell us. Most new tools on Galaxy of Tools begin as a user request, and the ones asked for most are built first.
