Quran khatam planner: finish the Qur’an in 30 days, or at your own pace
This free Quran khatam planner builds a day-by-day reading plan to complete the whole Qur’an by a date you choose. Pick 30 days for Ramadan, 60 or 90 days, a year, a number of pages a day, or a finish date, and it lists every day with its date, the pages, the juz, the surahs and the approximate number of ayat. Tick each day as you read and the progress bar, today’s portion and any days you are behind are updated.
For a Quran reading plan for Ramadan, press Next Ramadan, 30 days: the plan starts on the first day of the coming Ramadan and gives about 20 pages, close to one juz, each day. Tick “Split each day across the five prayers” to see exactly which pages to read after Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha, about four pages each.

The numbers behind the plan
The standard Madani mushaf printed in Madinah has 604 pages of 15 lines, 30 juz (parts), 114 surahs and 6,236 ayat in the Hafs count. Juz 1 covers pages 1 to 21, and every later juz begins 20 pages after the last, at pages 22, 42, 62 and so on to 582, which is why 20 pages a day gives almost exactly one juz a day. The generator shares the 604 pages as evenly as possible: day k of D reads pages ⌊k·604/D⌋+1 to ⌊(k+1)·604/D⌋.
Ayat counts per day are estimates, because pages differ in length (about 10.3 ayat a page on average); the page and juz numbers are exact for this mushaf. The surah column names the surahs that begin on the day’s pages, or the surah already running. Other printings, such as the 13-line or 16-line Indo-Pak mushaf, have different page numbers, so use the juz column when your copy differs.
| Plan | Pages a day | About |
|---|---|---|
| 30 days (Ramadan) | 20–21 | one juz a day |
| 60 days | 10–11 | half a juz a day |
| 90 days | 6–7 | a third of a juz |
| 6 months (180 days) | 3–4 | about 4 pages a day |
| 1 year (365 days) | 1–2 | under 2 pages a day |
Tips and notes
Reading after each of the five prayers is a popular way to finish in a month: four pages after each prayer is about 20 a day. Pace matters more than the exact number, and the plan can be rebuilt at any time. This page holds no Qur’anic text, so read from your own mushaf or app. Ramadan dates here come from the Umm al-Qura calendar and may differ by a day from your local moon sighting, so check the sehri and iftar timetable and the Hijri date converter. For a comparable plan in another tradition, see the Bible reading plan generator. Approaches to completing the Qur’an differ between families and scholars; ask your local imam if you want guidance.
