Sehri and iftar time today, and a Ramadan timetable for your city
This free sehri iftar time tool shows when sehri ends and iftar begins today and tomorrow in your city, with a countdown, and a full Ramadan timetable you can print, copy or download. It covers cities across India, Pakistan (including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad), Bangladesh, the Gulf, the UK, North America and more, or any coordinates you enter.
Sehri (suhoor) must end before Fajr — true dawn — and iftar is at Maghrib, just after sunset. Both are calculated from the Sun’s position for your location using the method your country usually follows, and you can choose how many minutes before Fajr your sehri should end.
Times are calculated — follow your local mosque or authority. The first day of Ramadan and Eid depend on the moon sighting announced where you live, which can be a day later than the calculated calendar.
How to use the Sehri & Iftar Timetable
- Check the City, press Use my location, or type latitude, longitude and time zone.
- Read today’s Sehri ends and Iftar times in the two boxes; press Tomorrow for sehri iftar time tomorrow.
- Choose the Timetable: the coming Ramadan is selected; earlier and later Ramadans and the current or next month (for voluntary fasts) are also listed.
- Set Sehri ends (min before Fajr) to your mosque’s practice — 10 minutes by default, 0 to eat until Fajr — and use Iftar adjustment if your mosque waits a few minutes after sunset.
- If Ramadan starts a day later where you live, set First day of Ramadan to “1 day later”, then press Print timetable, Download CSV or Copy.

How sehri and iftar times are calculated
Fajr is the moment the Sun is a fixed angle below the eastern horizon before sunrise — 18° in the Karachi and Muslim World League methods, 18.5° for Umm al-Qura, 15° for ISNA. Sehri ends a few minutes before Fajr as a precaution (imsak). Iftar is at Maghrib, when the top of the Sun disappears below the horizon, allowing for atmospheric refraction.
Example: in New Delhi on 8 February 2027, the first day of Ramadan 1448 in the Umm al-Qura calendar, the Karachi method gives Fajr at 5:45 am, so sehri ends at 5:35 am, and iftar is at 6:06 pm — a fast of 12 h 31 min. The exact values are in the table above.
| Country or region | Usual method | Fajr angle |
|---|---|---|
| India, Pakistan, Bangladesh | University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi | 18° |
| Saudi Arabia | Umm al-Qura, Makkah | 18.5° |
| UAE | UAE (Dubai) | 18.2° |
| UK, Europe | Muslim World League | 18° |
| USA, Canada | ISNA | 15° |
| Turkey | Diyanet | 18° |
| Singapore, Malaysia | MUIS / JAKIM | 20° |
Ramadan dates and moon sighting
The Ramadan dates come from the Umm al-Qura calendar of Saudi Arabia, which is calculated in advance. Many countries — India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the UK among them — begin Ramadan only after the crescent is seen, which is often one day later. Choose “1 day later” to move the timetable, and remember that Ramadan lasts 29 or 30 days depending on the Eid moon. For daily namaz times see the prayer times page, and to convert dates use the Hijri date converter.
Sehri & Iftar Timetable FAQ
What is the sehri and iftar time today?
It is shown in the two boxes at the top for the selected city, in local time. The city starts from your device’s time zone; change it if you are elsewhere.
What is the sehri iftar time tomorrow?
Press Tomorrow above the boxes, or read the next row of the timetable.
How many minutes before Fajr does sehri end?
Practices differ. Many timetables stop sehri about 10 minutes before Fajr (the default here); others allow eating until Fajr itself. Set the minutes to match your mosque.
Why is my mosque’s iftar a few minutes later?
Some mosques add a precaution of 2–5 minutes after sunset. Use Iftar adjustment to match them. Times are calculated — follow your local mosque or authority.
When does Ramadan start?
The table uses the Umm al-Qura calendar (Ramadan 1448 AH begins on 8 February 2027). Where Ramadan follows a local moon sighting it may start a day later; use First day of Ramadan to shift it.
Can I print the Ramadan timetable?
Yes. Press Print timetable for a clean page with only the timetable; choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog to keep a PDF copy.
