Make valid Tambola tickets, in strips of six or on their own

This Tambola ticket generator makes printable Housie tickets in the standard Indian format: a grid of 3 rows and 9 columns holding 15 numbers, 5 in every row. Choose strips of 6, where six tickets together use every number from 1 to 90 exactly once, or independent tickets that are each valid and different from the others. Add a title and an event line such as “Diwali kitty party”, then print or save a PDF.

Tickets follow the usual column rule: the first column holds 1 to 9, the second 10 to 19, and so on up to 80 to 90 in the ninth. Numbers rise from top to bottom within a column, no number repeats on a ticket, and every column has at least one number. Everything is generated in your browser from a seed, so nothing is uploaded and a lost ticket can be reprinted exactly.

This is the 3×9 ticket, not the 5×5 card in the bingo card generator. Once the tickets are printed, call the numbers with the Tambola number caller.

How to use the Tambola Ticket Generator

  1. Pick Strips of 6 for the classic set, or Independent if every player should get an unrelated ticket.
  2. Enter how many tickets you need. For a party of 8, choose 8 or 12; for 50 players, choose 50.
  3. Add a title and optionally an event line, set the paper size and tickets per page, and choose a colour that prints well.
  4. Check the preview, use the arrows to flip through pages, and read the line under it that confirms the set.
  5. Press Download PDF or Print. Keep the seed so you can regenerate the same tickets later.

Tambola Ticket Generator features

Rule-checked tickets

Each ticket has 3 rows, 9 columns, 15 numbers, 5 per row, 1 to 3 per column, sorted down each column.

True strips of six

Six tickets cover 1 to 90 once, so a called number belongs to exactly one ticket in the strip. Columns hold 9, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10 and 11 numbers.

Unique tickets

No duplicate ticket is printed in one run, whether in strips or independent mode.

Seeded and repeatable

The same seed gives the same tickets, which makes reprints and hosting two rooms easy.

Print-ready

A4 or US Letter, 3, 6 or 12 tickets per page, vector PDF, PNG of a page and a print stylesheet.

Copy as text

Copies the tickets as a plain grid for chat groups or a custom layout.

The Tambola ticket rules this tool follows

These come from the widely used convention described on Tambola guides such as partytambola.in and tambolacaller.com (checked 30 October 2026). Housie has no single governing body, so clubs differ on small points, for example whether a column may be empty. This tool always keeps at least one number in each column of every ticket.

Strips of six versus independent tickets

In a strip each number appears once, so with six players holding one ticket each, any number called can be crossed on only one ticket. That keeps the game fair and fast and is how printed books are sold. Independent tickets are random: two players can have the same number, which is fine for large rooms. If your count is not a multiple of six the last strip is cut short, and the page says so.

Tips for a smooth game

  • Print one test page first; a dark colour with light cells saves ink, and the shaded blanks help eyes find rows.
  • Hand out whole strips to families who sit together and single tickets to friends who do not.
  • Keep the seed and the count written on the host’s sheet. Entering both again rebuilds the tickets for a dispute about a claim.
  • Agree the prizes first: Early Five, the three lines and Full House are the usual ones. The caller page includes a claim checker.

Tambola Ticket Generator FAQ

How many numbers are on a Tambola ticket?

Fifteen: five in each of three rows, placed in nine columns, so every ticket also has twelve blank cells.

What is a strip of six Tambola tickets?

Six tickets that between them contain every number from 1 to 90 exactly once. Selling or handing out tickets from one strip means a called number appears on only one of them.

Are the tickets different every time?

They change with the seed. The same seed and settings always give the same tickets, and a new seed gives a new set.

Can I make tickets for 100 people?

Yes, up to 300 tickets per run. Use strips of 6 for 102 tickets or independent mode for any exact count.

Is the Housie ticket the same as a bingo card?

No. A US-style bingo card is a 5×5 grid with 24 numbers from 1 to 75, while a Tambola ticket is 3×9 with 15 numbers from 1 to 90.

Is anything uploaded when I make tickets?

No. The tickets are made and drawn in your browser. The PDF library loads from a public CDN only when you press Download PDF.
