A lottery number generator with the right rules for each game
This lottery number generator gives you random “quick pick” lines for the world’s best-known draws with the correct number of balls and ranges built in: Powerball (5 from 1–69 plus a Powerball from 1–26), Mega Millions (5 from 1–70 plus a Mega Ball from 1–24, as of the April 2025 rule change), EuroMillions and EuroJackpot (5 from 1–50 plus 2 from 1–12) and UK Lotto (6 from 1–59). A custom mode handles any other game — Lotto 6/49, a 6/45 draw, an office sweepstake or a school raffle.
Each line is drawn with cryptographically secure randomness, numbers within a line never repeat, and the balls are shown sorted so they are easy to copy onto a play slip. You also get the exact jackpot odds for the game you chose, calculated with real combinatorics. Please remember: random numbers are not a strategy, every combination is equally likely, and the lottery should only ever be a small bit of fun.
How to use the Lottery Number Generator
- Choose a Lottery from the list, or pick Custom game and enter how many numbers to pick, the top of the range and any bonus balls.
- Set the Number of tickets (1–20) and press Generate numbers.
- Read each line: white balls are the main numbers and gold balls are the bonus numbers (Powerball, Mega Ball, Lucky Stars or Euro numbers).
- Check the odds panel to see how many combinations exist and your chance per ticket.
- Press Copy tickets to paste the lines into a note, or generate again for a fresh set.
Lottery Number Generator features
Correct game rules
Ranges and bonus balls match the official rules of each game as of 2025, including Mega Millions’ smaller 24-ball Mega Ball pool introduced in April 2025.
Secure, unbiased draws
Numbers come from crypto.getRandomValues through a partial Fisher–Yates shuffle, so every line of numbers is exactly as likely as any other.
Exact odds
Jackpot odds are computed with the binomial coefficient C(n, k) multiplied by the bonus-ball combinations, with no rounding.
Custom games
Pick any k from 1–n with up to 10 bonus balls from a separate pool, so regional and private draws work too.
Multiple sorted tickets
Up to 20 lines at a time, each sorted and numbered, ready to copy.
Jackpot odds by game (as of 2025)
The odds of matching every ball on one line are the number of main-number combinations multiplied by the number of bonus-ball combinations. These are the exact figures the generator shows:
| Game | Numbers | Jackpot odds (1 in…) |
|---|---|---|
| Powerball (US) | 5 of 69 + 1 of 26 | 292,201,338 |
| Mega Millions (US) | 5 of 70 + 1 of 24 | 290,472,336 |
| EuroMillions | 5 of 50 + 2 of 12 | 139,838,160 |
| EuroJackpot | 5 of 50 + 2 of 12 | 139,838,160 |
| UK Lotto | 6 of 59 | 45,057,474 |
| Classic Lotto 6/49 (custom) | 6 of 49 | 13,983,816 |
How the odds are calculated
Choosing k numbers from n without caring about order has C(n, k) = n! ÷ (k! × (n − k)!) outcomes. For UK Lotto that is C(59, 6) = 45,057,474. When a game adds bonus balls from a separate pool, multiply by that pool’s combinations: Powerball is C(69, 5) × C(26, 1) = 11,238,513 × 26 = 292,201,338. You can explore these numbers yourself with the Permutation & Combination Calculator.
Put another way, buying two different lines doubles your chance, but 2 in 292 million is still vanishingly small. Smaller prizes for matching fewer numbers are far more likely, and each lottery publishes its own prize-tier odds.
Myths about “lucky” numbers
- Hot and cold numbers: balls have no memory. A number that has not appeared for months is exactly as likely next draw as one that came up last week.
- Patterns and birthdays: 1-2-3-4-5-6 is just as likely as any other line. But many people pick dates (1–31), so if a low-number line wins, the jackpot is more likely to be shared. Random lines spread across the full range avoid that.
- Buying more lines: it does raise your chance in direct proportion — and raises your cost in exactly the same proportion. The expected return stays below what you paid.

Lottery Number Generator FAQ
Does a lottery number generator improve my chances of winning?
No. Every combination has the same probability, so generated numbers are no more or less likely to win than numbers you choose yourself. The only advantage of random picks is that they are less likely to be shared with other players if they win.
Are the Powerball and Mega Millions ranges correct?
Yes, as of 2025: Powerball draws 5 numbers from 1–69 plus a Powerball from 1–26, and Mega Millions draws 5 from 1–70 plus a Mega Ball from 1–24 following the April 2025 changes. If a game changes its rules later, use the custom mode with the new figures.
Can I generate numbers for a lottery that is not listed?
Yes. Choose Custom game and enter how many numbers to pick, the highest number, and the bonus-ball count and range, for example 6 from 49 or 6 from 45 plus 1 from 10.
Why are the numbers sorted?
Lottery play slips and official results list numbers in ascending order, so sorted lines are easier to fill in and to check. Sorting does not change the odds because the draw order never matters.
Can the same number appear twice on one ticket?
No. Main numbers are drawn without replacement, and bonus balls come from their own separate pool, exactly like the real draw.
Is this gambling advice?
No. The tool only produces random numbers and shows the mathematical odds. Lotteries are a form of gambling; play only with money you can afford to lose, and seek help if gambling stops being fun.
