A LinkedIn image resizer for your profile and company page

On LinkedIn, images are part of your first impression: recruiters see your banner and headshot before they read a word, and a stretched company logo looks careless. This LinkedIn image resizer produces each image at the size LinkedIn recommends as of 2025 — the 1584 × 396 background banner, a 400 × 400 profile photo, a 300 × 300 company logo, the 1128 × 191 company cover, feed posts, document carousels and article covers.

Pick a size, drag the photo to choose the crop, and download a clean JPG or PNG. The banner and company cover are very wide strips, so the tool lets you zoom and reposition until the right slice of your photo is in frame, or fit a graphic inside with your brand colour. Nothing is uploaded: the resizing happens in your browser.

How to use the LinkedIn Image Resizer

  1. Drop a photo or graphic onto the upload area.
  2. Choose the LinkedIn size you need — the background banner is selected first.
  3. Drag the preview to pick the part that stays, and use Zoom for a closer crop. For logos and text graphics choose “Fit inside” and set a background colour.
  4. Switch the format to PNG for logos and graphics with sharp edges; keep JPG for photos.
  5. Press “Download”, then upload the file in your LinkedIn profile, page admin view or post editor.

LinkedIn Image Resizer features

Profile, page and post sizes

Banner, profile photo, company logo, company cover at 1× and 2×, posts in three shapes, document pages, article covers and sponsored content.

Wide-banner cropping

Zoom and drag to choose exactly which strip of a tall photo fills a 4:1 banner or a 5.9:1 company cover.

Logo-safe fitting

The company logo size fits your artwork inside the square with padding, so corners and wordmarks are never cut off.

Circle preview

The profile photo size shows the circular crop LinkedIn applies, plus a small round preview like the one beside your comments.

Private processing

Everything happens on your device — useful when your banner or deck pages contain unreleased work.

LinkedIn image sizes as of 2025

LinkedIn rescales uploads to fit each placement. Starting from these sizes keeps text and faces sharp. Sizes do change, so check LinkedIn’s help pages before a big campaign.

Getting the banner right

The background banner is four times as wide as it is tall, so almost any photo has to be cropped hard. Choose a picture with a horizontal subject — a skyline, a desk, a stage — or a simple graphic. On desktop your round profile photo sits over the lower-left part of the banner, and on phones the banner is shown smaller, so put any words or logos towards the centre or the right and keep them large.

If you want a plain banner with your name or tagline, design it as a graphic and choose “Fit inside” with your brand colour so nothing is clipped. Save it as PNG if it contains small text.

Tips for headshots, logos and carousels

  • Headshot: crop from mid-chest to just above the head, with your face filling about 60% of the frame. The circle crop removes the corners, so leave a little space around your hair.
  • Logo: start from the largest version you have. Fitting a small logo up to 300 px blurs it, so export a bigger copy from your design file first.
  • Carousel pages: LinkedIn document posts are PDFs. Resize every page image to the same size (1080 × 1350 works well on phones), then combine them with JPG to PDF.
  • Matching other networks: the X (Twitter) image resizer and Facebook image resizer use the same tool for those platforms’ banners.

LinkedIn Image Resizer FAQ

What size is the LinkedIn banner?

The personal profile background banner is 1584 × 396 pixels, a 4:1 shape. Choose “Background banner · 1584 × 396” in this LinkedIn image resizer, drag your photo to frame it and download.

What is the LinkedIn profile picture size?

400 × 400 pixels works well; LinkedIn accepts larger images and shows them as a circle. Keep your face centred with some space around it.

Why does my LinkedIn banner look blurry?

Usually the original was too small or was stretched. Start from a photo at least 1584 px wide, avoid upscaling, and use PNG for banners that contain text.

What size should a LinkedIn company logo be?

300 × 300 pixels, with a minimum of 268 × 268. The logo size in this tool fits your artwork inside the square rather than cropping it.

What size should LinkedIn post images be?

1200 × 627 for the classic landscape shape, or 1080 × 1080 and 1080 × 1350 for square and portrait posts, which take more space on phones.

Is it safe to resize work images here?

Yes. Images are processed in your browser and never uploaded, so unreleased designs and documents stay on your device.
