An influencer rate calculator that shows its working
This influencer rate calculator helps you answer the question every creator gets: what should I charge for this post? Type your followers, the views and interactions a typical post gets, choose the deliverables a brand wants, and read a suggested price with a low–high range and every step of the sum.
There is no official price list for sponsored content. No platform, regulator or trade body publishes one, and the published ranges you find online come from agencies and marketing blogs with different samples. So this tool does not pretend to know the market. The CPM and cost-per-interaction rates are your own assumptions, the multipliers are editable, and the one table of published figures is dated and sourced so you can sanity-check the result. Use it to build a rate card and to start a negotiation, not to settle one.
How to use the Influencer Rate Calculator
- Enter your followers, and your average views or reach and interactions per post from your analytics.
- Choose the pricing model: CPM, engagement, or the average of both, and replace the default CPM and cost per interaction with the rates you want to earn.
- Set how many of each deliverable the brand wants, and edit what each is worth compared with one standard post.
- Pick usage rights (will the brand run your content as an ad?) and exclusivity (can you work with competitors?), or type your own multipliers.
- Read the suggested rate and the per-deliverable prices, then compare with the published ranges below the result.
Influencer Rate Calculator features
Two pricing models
CPM prices the reach you deliver; the engagement model prices the interactions. Use either or the average.
Visible assumptions
Every rate and multiplier is a field you can change; the working is shown line by line.
Usage rights and exclusivity
Brands paying to run your post as an ad, or to stop you working with rivals, are buying more than a post.
Range, not a promise
A ± band that you set, so the answer reads as a negotiating zone.
Currency view
Dollars, rupees, pounds or euros for display; you type your rates in the currency you pick.
How the rate is worked out
CPM model: price = average views ÷ 1,000 × your CPM. Engagement model: price = average interactions × your cost per interaction. The base price of one standard post is either one of those or their average. Then: suggested rate = base price × (sum of count × worth for each deliverable) × usage-rights multiplier × exclusivity multiplier.
With the defaults, 12,500 views at a $20 CPM is $250 and 1,500 interactions at $0.20 is $300. The average, $275, times a reel (1.5) and a story set (0.5) makes 2 standard posts, or $550, shown as $385 – $715 with a 30% range. The 3% engagement rate is interactions ÷ followers; to compare it with other accounts use the engagement rate calculator, and to see what a platform pays you for views see the video earnings calculator. Advertisers can reverse the sum with the CPM calculator.
Published figures and how far to trust them (as of 24 October 2026)
The only external figures on this page are macro-influencer ranges from Influencer Marketing Hub (“Macro Influencer Rates in 2026”, last updated 7 July 2026): Instagram feed posts $5,000–$10,000+, stories $2,500–$8,000, branded reels $7,000–$20,000+, TikTok sponsored videos $800–$5,000+ and YouTube sponsored videos $5,000–$20,000+. The page gives no sample size or method and does not define the follower range, and other publishers list quite different numbers for nano and micro creators. They are a ceiling check, not a standard.
Limits and tips
- Niche, audience country, your track record and how much the brand wants you all move real prices more than follower count.
- Price from views you actually get, not followers: views are what a brand buys.
- Ask for usage rights and exclusivity in writing, and price them separately from the post itself.
- Rates here are before tax, agency commission and platform fees, and say nothing about contracts. Get legal advice for large deals.
Influencer Rate Calculator FAQ
How much should I charge for a sponsored post?
There is no fixed answer. A common method is to price the views you deliver (CPM) and check it against the interactions you generate. This calculator does both, with rates you set, and shows the working.
How does an influencer price calculator for India differ?
The method is the same. Choose rupees and type a CPM and cost per interaction in rupees that reflect your audience and niche. No official Indian rate card exists, so use your own deal history as a guide.
What is a sponsorship rate for a YouTube video?
Many creators price a YouTube sponsor segment from expected views and a CPM, often higher than for short posts. Use the long-video deliverable and set its worth relative to one post.
What are usage rights?
Permission for a brand to reuse your content, for example as an ad on its own account. It is worth more than the post alone, so it is usually priced as an extra.
Are the default numbers market rates?
No. They are placeholders so the page shows a worked example. Replace the CPM, cost per interaction and multipliers with your own.
Is this financial advice?
No. It is an estimate for planning and negotiation, not financial, tax or legal advice.
