A consumer complaint in the format the Commission expects
When a seller or service provider will not refund, replace or repair, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 lets you complain to a Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission — often without a lawyer. This free consumer complaint generator drafts that complaint in the usual format: the cause title, the parties, numbered facts, why it is a defect or deficiency, the cause of action and limitation, jurisdiction, the fee, your prayer, the list of documents and the verification.
It also picks the right Commission from the amount you paid, works out the filing fee, and checks the two-year limit. Download it as a PDF to upload on e-Daakhil, or as Word to edit. Everything stays in your browser. It is a draft, not legal advice — read every line before you sign it.
How to use the Consumer Complaint Generator

Before you file
- Give them a chance first. A written complaint or a legal notice is not compulsory, but it strengthens your case and often settles it.
- Count the time. You have two years from the cause of action; use the limitation period calculator if the date is not obvious.
- Collect proof. Invoice, warranty card, emails, chat screenshots, job sheets, the notice and its postal receipt.
- Affidavit. Commissions usually ask for an affidavit in support of the complaint — the affidavit format tool can help draft one.
- Try the helpline. The National Consumer Helpline (1915) can sometimes resolve a dispute before it reaches a Commission.
