NEET marks vs rank, estimated from NTA’s own 2026 numbers
This NEET marks vs rank predictor estimates your All India Rank (AIR) from your marks out of 720, or from the percentile on your scorecard. It is built only on figures NTA itself published for NEET (UG) 2026: the highest score (715, two candidates), how many candidates scored above 705, above 700, 690 or more, 650 or more, 600 or more and 500 or more, and the 9,96,935 candidates in the 715–213 qualifying band out of 19,99,895 who appeared. Between those points it interpolates; where NTA published nothing it says so instead of guessing.
Type your marks, or count them from correct and wrong answers with the +4 / −1 scheme, choose your category for the 2026 qualifying-mark check, and read the estimated rank range and percentile. The calculation runs in your browser.
How to use the NEET Marks vs Rank Predictor
- Choose Marks → rank and type your marks, or switch to Count from answers and enter correct and wrong answers for Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
- Leave Candidates who appeared at 19,99,895 for the 2026 picture, or enter another year’s count to scale the 2026 pattern to it.
- Pick your category to see whether the marks clear the 2026 qualifying mark.
- Read the rank range, the percentile estimate and the published points it came from, highlighted in the table.
- If you already have your percentile, use Percentile → rank for AIR ≈ (100 − P) × candidates ÷ 100.
NEET Marks vs Rank Predictor features
Official data only
Every anchor comes from NTA’s NEET (UG) 2026 result press release, toppers list and “key data points” document, all dated July 2026 and linked.
Rank range, not false precision
Candidates on the same marks are separated by tie-breaks, so the tool shows the span of ranks your marks cover.
Honest gaps
It warns when the nearest published points are far apart (500 to 213 marks) and gives no estimate below 213, where NTA’s table counts only some categories.
Qualifying check
2026 qualifying marks: 213 (General/EWS, 50th percentile), 177 (OBC/SC/ST, 40th), 194 (General/EWS PwBD, 45th), 177 (reserved PwBD).
Marks from answers
Four subjects of 45 questions with +4 / −1, using the same engine as the marks calculator with negative marking.
How the estimate works
Rank is about how many candidates scored more than you. For each published mark NTA tells us how many candidates were at or above it — for example 10,160 at 600 or more and 90,780 at 500 or more. For marks in between, the count is interpolated on a logarithmic scale, because the number of candidates grows roughly exponentially as marks fall: at 550 the estimate is √(10,160 × 90,780) ≈ 30,370. The range shown runs from the count at one mark higher, plus one, to the count at your marks.
The percentile estimate follows NTA’s definition: 100 × candidates with marks equal to or below yours ÷ candidates who appeared. Changing the candidate count multiplies every published count by the same factor — a simple assumption that the shape of the score distribution stays the same.
Qualifying marks 2024–2026 (NTA)
The qualifying mark moves a lot from year to year because it is a percentile of that year’s scores, so the same marks give a different rank in a different year. NEET (UG) 2026 was decided by the re-examination held on 21 June 2026.
| Year | Appeared | General / EWS (50th percentile) | OBC / SC / ST (40th percentile) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 23,33,297 | 720–162 | 161–127 |
| 2025 | 22,09,318 | 686–144 | 143–113 |
| 2026 | 19,99,895 | 715–213 | 212–177 |
Limits
- Only 2026 data is built in; NTA published fewer score points for 2024 and 2025, so those years are not used for prediction.
- Between 500 and 213 marks there are no published points, so ranks there can be off by tens of thousands.
- Counselling uses your AIR and category rank from NTA and MCC; state quotas use state merit lists.
NEET Marks vs Rank Predictor FAQ
What rank will I get with 600 marks in NEET?
In NEET (UG) 2026, 10,160 candidates scored 600 or more, so 600 marks meant an AIR of roughly 9,780 to 10,160. Another year can differ.
How accurate is this NEET rank predictor?
Exact at the published points (715, 706, 701, 690, 650, 600, 500, 213 marks) for 2026, approximate between them, and rough between 500 and 213, where there is a 287-mark gap in NTA’s data.
How is NEET rank calculated from percentile?
AIR ≈ (100 − percentile) × candidates who appeared ÷ 100. With 19,99,895 candidates, 99 percentile ≈ AIR 19,999.
What were the NEET 2026 qualifying marks?
213 for General and EWS (50th percentile), 177 for OBC, SC and ST (40th), 194 for General/EWS PwBD (45th) and 177 for reserved PwBD, per NTA.
Can I use this for NEET marks vs rank 2025?
Enter 22,09,318 candidates to scale the 2026 pattern, but 2025 scores were much lower (the top was 686), so a scaled 2026 curve gives worse (larger) rank numbers at high marks than 2025 candidates actually received.
Does it work for NEET PG?
No. NEET PG is run by NBEMS with a different paper and data; this tool uses NEET (UG) figures only.
