CUET Score and Percentile Calculator

CUET (UG) marks for up to five papers with +5 / −1, NTA’s shift percentile formula and a subject-wise rank estimate.

Estimate, not an official result. Raw marks follow the CUET (UG) 2026 bulletin exactly. NTA then normalises each subject across shifts (equi-percentile method), so the NTA score on your scorecard can differ from these raw marks, and percentile and rank figures here are estimates.

50 compulsory questions per paper, 60 minutes, +5 for a correct answer, −1 for a wrong one, 0 if unanswered (CUET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin).

Normalised score (equi-percentile, NTA step 3)

Separate with commas or spaces, including your own shift. NTA works these out from every shift’s data; enter them only if you have them.

Normalised score = (196 + 188) ÷ 2 = 192

CUET score calculator with the official +5 / −1 marking

This CUET score calculator works out your CUET (UG) raw marks for up to five papers from the number of correct and wrong answers, using the marking in the CUET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin: 50 compulsory questions per paper, +5 for each correct answer, −1 for each wrong one, nothing for a blank. It shows each paper out of 250 and the total out of 250 × the number of papers, together with accuracy and the marks lost to negative marking.

Because CUET runs each subject in several shifts, NTA converts raw marks into a percentile within each shift and then into a normalised NTA score. The calculator includes both steps of that method so you can see how they work, and an estimate of how many candidates in each subject were ahead of a given percentile in 2026, using NTA’s subject-wise counts. It all runs in your browser.

How to use the CUET Score & Percentile Calculator

  1. For each paper, pick the subject and enter the number of Correct and Wrong answers from the answer key. Use Add subject for up to five papers.
  2. Read each paper’s score out of 250 and your total, accuracy and marks lost to negative marking.
  3. If you know your percentile in a subject, type it in that card to see roughly how many of that subject’s 2026 candidates scored higher.
  4. Use the shift percentile box to apply NTA’s formula when you have the counts, and the normalised score box to see how NTA averages equivalent raw scores across shifts.

CUET Score & Percentile Calculator features

Official marking

+5 / −1 per question and 50 compulsory questions per paper, from the CUET (UG) 2026 bulletin.

Up to five papers

Any of the 37 subjects offered in 2026, with a warning if you list a subject twice.

Subject-wise context

2026 appeared counts for every subject — 9,14,653 for English, 6,77,609 for Chemistry, 6,75,419 for the General Aptitude Test — and each subject’s highest NTA score.

NTA’s two steps

Shift percentile (candidates at or below you ÷ candidates in the shift) and the equi-percentile normalised score (the mean of the raw scores at your percentile in each shift).

Error checks

More than 50 answers in a paper or a percentile outside 0–100 is flagged at once.

How CUET marks and NTA scores are worked out

Raw marks: 5 × correct − wrong for each paper. With 40 right and 5 wrong in English you score 195; 38 right and 6 wrong in Economics is 184; 35 right and 8 wrong in the General Aptitude Test is 167 — 546 out of 750.

Normalisation, from the bulletin: first, within each shift, percentile = 100 × candidates with raw marks ≤ yours ÷ candidates in the shift. Second, for your percentile NTA finds the raw score that corresponds to it in every shift of the subject, interpolating where needed. Third, the normalised score is the average of those raw scores. If your percentile matched 196 marks in your shift and 188 in the other, your NTA score would be 192. This is why two candidates with the same raw marks in different shifts can get different NTA scores.

CUET score for DU and other universities

Delhi University and the other participating universities use the normalised NTA scores of the subjects their programmes require, combined by their own rules, so a “good CUET score” depends on the course and the subject combination. NTA declares the scores; the merit lists and cut-offs come from each university. The percentile to rank calculator gives the same subject-wise estimate for other percentiles, and the marks calculator covers other exams.

CUET Score & Percentile Calculator FAQ

What is the CUET marking scheme?

+5 for a correct answer, −1 for a wrong answer, 0 for an unanswered question, with 50 compulsory questions per paper, according to the CUET (UG) 2026 Information Bulletin.

How is the CUET percentile calculated?

100 × the number of candidates in your shift with raw marks equal to or less than yours ÷ the number who took that paper in your shift, separately for each subject and shift.

What is the difference between CUET raw score and normalised score?

The raw score is your marks from the answer key. The normalised NTA score averages the raw scores that match your percentile in every shift of the subject, so it can be higher or lower than your raw marks.

What is the maximum CUET score?

250 per paper, so 1,250 for five papers. In 2026 the highest normalised score in English was 244.04 and several subjects had a top score of 250.

Can I predict my CUET percentile from marks?

Not without data from your shift. The calculator applies NTA’s formula to counts you enter; it does not guess them.

Is this my official CUET score?

No. It is your raw score and a set of estimates. Your NTA score is on the scorecard at cuet.nta.nic.in.
