A Catholic liturgical calendar for 2026, 2027 and any year

This Catholic liturgical calendar shows what the Church celebrates on every day of the year: the Sunday or weekday of the season, solemnities and feasts, the memorials of the saints, and the optional memorials a priest may choose. Each day has its rank and its liturgical colour, and the page tells you the Sunday cycle (Year A, B or C) and the weekday cycle (I or II). Choose the calendar of the United States, which adds American saints and moves Epiphany, Ascension and Corpus Christi to Sunday in most dioceses, or the General Roman Calendar.

The month view lets you tap any day; below it is a list of the year’s Sundays, solemnities and feasts that you can print or save as PDF. For just today’s colour, use liturgical color today.

How to use the Catholic Liturgical Calendar

  1. Enter the Year and choose the Calendar.
  2. Untick the Sunday option if your country keeps Epiphany on 6 January and the Ascension on Thursday.
  3. Use the arrows or the month menu to move through the year; tap a day to see its celebration, rank, colour and optional memorials.
  4. Tick Include memorials and weekdays to list every day, or keep the shorter list of Sundays and feasts.
  5. Press Print or save as PDF for a printable year, or Download CSV.

How the calendar is built

Moveable feasts depend on Easter (see the Easter date calculator): Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, the Ascension, Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, Corpus Christi and the Sacred Heart. Advent begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas. Fixed feasts come from the General Roman Calendar promulgated in 1969, with later additions such as St Mary Magdalene as a feast and Mary, Mother of the Church, and from the Proper Calendar for the Dioceses of the United States.

When two celebrations meet, the higher one in the table of precedence is kept. Sundays of Advent, Lent and Easter outrank every solemnity, which is then transferred; a feast of the Lord replaces a Sunday in Ordinary Time, but other feasts and memorials do not; two obligatory memorials on the same day both become optional. The results were compared with the United States bishops’ calendars for 2026 and 2027: every day’s colour for 2026 and the optional memorials of all 730 days matched.

What is not included

Readings are not reproduced: the Lectionary translations used in Mass are copyrighted, so the page shows names, dates, ranks and colours only. Proper feasts of a diocese, cathedral or religious order, and the national calendars of countries other than the United States, are not included; your diocesan ordo is the final word. Holy days of obligation vary by country and are not marked.

Catholic Liturgical Calendar FAQ

What is the Catholic calendar today?

Press Today: the panel shows today’s celebration, rank and colour, and any optional memorials. For the colour alone, see liturgical color today.

Which liturgical year is 2026?

The year from the First Sunday of Advent, 30 November 2025, to 28 November 2026 is Year A for Sundays and cycle II for weekdays. Year B begins on 29 November 2026.

Can I print the liturgical calendar 2026?

Yes. Press Print or save as PDF for the year’s Sundays, solemnities and feasts, or tick the box first to include every day.

Is this a calendar of saints and feast days?

Yes. It lists the saints of the General Roman Calendar by their rank, including optional memorials, and the US saints when the United States calendar is selected.

Why is a saint’s day missing this year?

A memorial is not kept when it falls on a Sunday, in Holy Week or the Easter Octave, or on a higher feast; in Lent it becomes a commemoration.

Does it show the readings?

No. Only names and dates are shown, because the Lectionary translations are copyrighted.
