Reverse PDF

Flip the page order of a PDF — all pages or just a range — and keep the cover in place if you like.

Drop a PDF here or click to choose One PDF · the page order is flipped on your device

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter or upload is sent to a server.

Reverse the page order of a PDF

Scanners that output pages face up, printers that stack the last page on top, and statements exported newest-first all produce the same problem: a PDF that reads back to front. The Reverse PDF tool flips the page order in one click — the last page becomes the first, the first becomes the last.

You can reverse the whole document or only a range of pages, and keep the cover page (or the back cover) where it is. A strip of page thumbnails shows the new order before you save, with moved pages highlighted.

The PDF is reordered in your browser and never uploaded. Because the pages themselves are not copied or re-rendered, bookmarks, internal links, form fields and comments keep working in the reversed file.

How to reverse a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF onto the upload area or click to choose it. Thumbnails of its pages appear.
  2. Choose “All pages”, or “Only a range” and enter the first and last page of the part to flip.
  3. Tick “Keep the first page (cover) in place” or “Keep the last page (back cover) in place” if needed.
  4. Check the new order in the thumbnail strip — numbers show each page’s original position.
  5. Press “Reverse pages”, then “Download PDF”.

Reverse PDF features

Whole document or a range

Flip every page, or just pages 5–20 inside a longer file while the rest stay where they are.

Cover stays put

Keep the first or last page fixed — handy when only the inside pages were scanned in reverse.

Visual check before saving

The thumbnail strip shows exactly where every page will end up.

Nothing lost

The page tree is rebuilt around the existing pages, so bookmarks, links, forms, comments and page rotations survive.

Lossless and fast

No page is re-rendered or recompressed; even long documents are reversed in seconds.

Private

Your PDF stays on your device from start to finish.

When a PDF ends up in reverse order

  • Face-up scanning. Many document feeders scan the top sheet first; if you loaded the stack face up, page 1 ends up last.
  • Printer output order. Some printers stack pages last-to-first, and scanning or photographing that stack copies the reverse order.
  • Newest-first exports. Email threads, chat logs, bank and card statements are often exported with the most recent item first; reversing gives a chronological read.
  • Two-pass duplex scans. If you scanned the fronts and then the flipped backs, the backs come out reversed. Reverse that file, or let Alternate & Mix PDF interleave and reverse in one go.

How the range and cover options combine

The two “keep in place” options act on the ends of whatever you reverse. With all 10 pages selected and the cover kept, pages 2–10 are reversed. With a range of 3–8, only those six pages swap around and everything outside the range stays put.

Need a different order?

Reversing is the quick fix for one specific problem. To move individual pages, drag them on Organize PDF; to fix sideways pages, use Rotate PDF; and to add a missing page, use Insert PDF Pages.

Reverse PDF FAQ

How do I reverse the order of pages in a PDF?

Drop the PDF here, keep “All pages” selected and press “Reverse pages”. The last page becomes the first and so on, and you can download the reversed PDF straight away.

Can I reverse only some pages?

Yes. Choose “Only a range” and enter the first and last page of the part you want to flip, for example 5 to 12. Pages outside the range keep their positions.

How do I keep the cover page first?

Tick “Keep the first page (cover) in place”. Everything after the cover is reversed while page 1 stays at the front. There is a matching option for the back cover.

Will bookmarks and links still work after reversing?

Yes. The tool reorders the existing pages instead of copying them, so bookmarks, internal links, form fields and comments still point at the right pages.

Does reversing reduce the quality of my PDF?

No. Pages are not re-rendered or recompressed; only their order changes.

Is it safe to reverse a confidential PDF here?

Yes. The file is processed entirely in your browser and is never uploaded.
