Print folded table tent cards that read right from both sides

This table tent card maker produces the folded cards that stand on tables at weddings, conferences, classrooms and restaurants: a guest’s name, a table number or a short label on both faces, so people on either side of the table can read it. The upper half of each card is printed upside down on purpose — once you fold along the dashed centre line, both faces stand upright.

Type names one per line (with an optional second line such as a family group or a company), or switch to numbered tables and give a range such as 1 to 24. Pick a face size from small place cards to a 5 × 3.5 in display card, choose an accent colour and font, and download a PDF or print the sheet directly.

The cards are drawn in your browser; no list is uploaded and no account is needed.

How to use the Table Tent Card Maker

  1. Choose Names from a list or Numbered tables. For names, type one per line; add a second line after a |, for example Dev Patel | Friends of the couple. For numbers, set the first and last number and the word in front (“Table”).
  2. Pick the Card size. Small 90 × 50 mm place cards fit four per sheet; the standard 4 × 3 in card fits two on Letter and one on A4; A6 and 5 × 3.5 in make large single cards. Custom… accepts any face size.
  3. Set the Paper, an Accent colour and a Font. Keep the dashed cut lines on unless the card fills the sheet.
  4. Check the preview — remember the top half of each card is deliberately upside down — then press Download PDF, Download PNG or Print.
  5. Print on card stock at 100%, cut along the dashed outline, fold on the centre line and stand the card up.

Table Tent Card Maker features

Mirrored two-sided layout

Each card is laid out flat with the upper face rotated 180°, so after a single fold both sides read correctly without any duplex printing.

Names or number ranges

Paste a guest list with optional second lines, or generate Table 1 to Table 40 in one go.

Five size presets plus custom

Small 90 × 50 mm, standard 4 × 3 in, A6 fold 105 × 74 mm, large 5 × 3.5 in, or any width and height you type.

Fold and cut guides

A fine dashed line marks the fold and a dashed outline marks the cut; the accent bar sits on the bottom edge of each face as a visual base.

Automatic text sizing

Names grow to a size that suits the card and shrink when a long name would run past the edge; the second line sits beneath in the accent colour.

Exact-size PDF and PNG

The PDF is vector at A4 or Letter size with embedded standard fonts; the PNG is a 150 dpi image of the page on screen.

How many tent cards fit on a sheet?

Cards are laid out flat (face width × twice the face height) with 5 mm margins and 2 mm gutters. The count depends on the face size and the paper.

Tips for sturdy, readable table cards

  • Use 200–300 gsm card (80–110 lb cover). Thin paper tents sag within an hour. Score the fold line lightly with a ruler and the back of a knife before folding for a crisp edge.
  • Match card size to the room. Table numbers in a hall should be readable from several metres: use the 5 × 3.5 in card and a short label such as “12” rather than “Table number twelve”.
  • Serif for weddings, sans-serif for conferences is the usual convention, but either font prints cleanly; what matters more is dark text on a light card.
  • Print at actual size. If the dialog offers “Fit to page”, turn it off, or the cut lines will not match the stated dimensions.
  • Assign the seats first with the seating chart maker, which prints matching name cards, and give arriving guests badges from the name tag maker.

Table Tent Card Maker FAQ

Why is the top half of each tent card upside down?

Because the sheet is folded in the middle. The upper face is rotated 180° so that, once folded into a tent, the text on both sides stands upright. This is exactly how commercial tent cards are printed.

Can I put a different name on each side?

Not in this tool — a tent card shows the same text on both faces so it can be read from either side of the table. For a card that is different on each side, print two single-sided place cards and glue them back to back.

What is the standard table tent card size?

The most common is 4 × 3 in per face (a 4 × 6 in sheet folded in half). Small place cards are around 90 × 50 mm, and large display cards 5 × 3.5 in. All three are presets here.

Can I print table numbers from 1 to 50?

Yes. Switch to “Numbered tables”, enter 1 and 50 and a prefix such as “Table”. Up to 300 cards are generated and paged automatically.

Will accented or non-Latin names print?

Accented Latin names (Chloé, Müller, Søren) print in the PDF. Scripts such as Devanagari, Arabic or Chinese appear as “?” in the PDF because the built-in fonts are Latin only; they do show in the on-screen preview and the PNG.

Is the PDF ready for a print shop?

Yes — it is a vector PDF at the exact A4 or Letter size. Ask for 250–300 gsm card, no scaling, and cutting and scoring on the dashed lines.
