Convert PPTX to PNG with sharp text and optional transparency

The PPTX to PNG converter exports the slides of a PowerPoint presentation as PNG images. PNG is lossless: titles, small print, diagrams, icons and thin chart lines stay perfectly crisp, with none of the smudging lossy formats can leave around text. Choose 1280, 1920 or 3840 pixels wide and download every slide in one ZIP.

Tick Transparent and the slide background is removed, leaving only the text, shapes and pictures on a see-through canvas. That is handy for dropping slide graphics onto a video in an editor, using a title card as an overlay in streaming software, or reusing a diagram on a different background in a design tool.

Nothing is uploaded. The open-source pptx-preview engine draws each slide in your browser and html2canvas captures it, so confidential decks stay on your own device.

How to convert PowerPoint slides to PNG

  1. Drop a .pptx file on the upload area or click to choose one. The slides appear in the preview; hidden slides are faded.
  2. Choose the Image width — 1920 px is a good default; 3840 px gives 4K images for print and large screens.
  3. Type the Slides you want, or leave the box empty for all of them.
  4. Tick Transparent — remove the slide background if you want only the slide’s content on a clear background.
  5. Press Convert to PNG. One slide downloads as a PNG; several download together as a ZIP, and each also has its own button.

PPTX to PNG features

Lossless quality

PNG keeps every pixel exactly, so text and line art look as sharp as on screen at any zoom level up to the image size.

Transparent background

Removes the slide’s fill, picture or gradient background while keeping text, shapes, pictures and their own transparency.

HD, Full HD or 4K

Exactly 1280, 1920 or 3840 pixels wide; a 16:9 slide becomes 1280 × 720, 1920 × 1080 or 3840 × 2160.

Pick your slides

Whole deck, single slides or ranges such as 2-4, 9; hidden slides only when you ask for them.

Ordered file names

deck-slide-01.png, deck-slide-02.png … sort in slide order in every file manager and upload form.

Private by design

The deck is opened, drawn and exported entirely in your browser, with no account and no watermark.

When to use the transparent background

With the option on, the slide background — a colour, gradient, picture or the theme’s background — is not drawn, and the PNG keeps an alpha channel. Everything placed on the slide stays: text boxes, shapes with their fills, pictures and decorations that come from the slide master.

  • Video editing: lay a title, lower third or diagram over your footage.
  • Streaming and webinars: use slide graphics as overlays in OBS or similar software.
  • Design work: drop a chart or diagram onto a document, poster or web page with a different background.
  • Stickers and icons: build them in PowerPoint, export them as transparent PNGs.

PNG or JPG?

If PNG files are too big for an upload, shrink them with PNG Compressor, or convert the deck with PPTX to JPG instead. For a single document with one slide per page, use PowerPoint to PDF, or PPT to PDF for old PowerPoint 97–2003 files.

Rendering limits worth knowing

  • Slides are drawn by a browser renderer, not by PowerPoint. Fonts come from your device; a missing font is replaced by a similar one, which can shift line breaks.
  • Charts, SmartArt, WordArt effects, 3D objects and equations may be simplified or left out. Check the preview before converting.
  • Animations and transitions are not played; each slide shows all its objects in place. Videos, audio and speaker notes are not exported.
  • Only .pptx (PowerPoint 2007 and later) can be read; save older .ppt files as .pptx first.

PPTX to PNG FAQ

How do I convert PPTX to PNG?

Drop the presentation above, pick an image width and press Convert to PNG. You get one PNG per slide in a ZIP, or a single PNG when you convert one slide. It’s free and needs no account.

Can I export a PowerPoint slide as a transparent PNG?

Yes. Tick Transparent — remove the slide background before converting. The slide’s background fill or picture is left out and everything else is kept on a transparent canvas.

What size are the PNG images?

Exactly the width you choose — 1280, 1920 or 3840 pixels — with the height set by the slide shape: 1920 × 1080 for a 16:9 slide at 1920 px, or 1920 × 1440 for a 4:3 slide.

Why are my PNG files so large?

PNG keeps every pixel without loss, so photo-heavy slides make big files, especially at 4K. Use 1280 or 1920 px, compress the images with PNG Compressor, or choose JPG for photo slides.

Are my slides uploaded to a server?

No. The presentation is read, drawn and exported in your browser. Nothing leaves your device.

Does it include animations or speaker notes?

No. Each slide is saved as a still picture with all its objects in place; animations, transitions, media and notes are not part of the images.
