The 80 mm thermal roll prints one long page as wide as the roll with the height the content needs. The PDF embeds Noto Sans, so accented names print exactly.

A packing slip generator for orders, shipments and exports

This free packing slip generator makes the sheet that goes in the box: who it is from and to, the order number, every item with its SKU and quantity shipped, the number of packages and the weight, and a place for the packer to sign. Prices are left off unless you switch them on, so a gift recipient or a retail customer sees what is inside, not what it cost.

It also works as a simple packing list for a domestic shipment or for the goods inside an export consignment. Choose A4, US Letter or an 80 mm thermal roll, add your logo and download the PDF. Everything is saved only in this browser, with no sign-up. A 4×6 inch label size is not offered: use the shipping label maker for the carrier label and print this slip on A4 or Letter.

How to use the Packing Slip Generator

  1. Enter the slip number, ship date, order number, carrier and tracking number.
  2. Fill in your business as the sender, and the recipient under Ship to; add a bill-to address only if it differs.
  3. Add each item with its SKU, description and quantity shipped. Keep prices off, or tick “Show unit prices” to add them.
  4. Add the number of packages and the weight, a note such as return instructions and the packer’s name.
  5. Pick the paper, check the preview, and press Download PDF.

Packing Slip Generator features

Quantities, not prices

Unit prices and amounts are an opt-in column, and the PDF leaves them out entirely when they are off.

Tick boxes for packers

A “Packed” column of boxes lets the picker check each line, and a “Checked by” line catches errors before the box is sealed.

A4, Letter or thermal

Standard office paper, or an 80 mm roll printed as one long strip sized to the content.

Drafts and numbering

Save slips in the browser, start the next one in a click and keep a JSON backup.

What goes on a packing slip

  • Order number and date, so the recipient and your support team can match the box to the order.
  • Ship-from and ship-to addresses, plus a bill-to address if someone else pays.
  • Item lines with SKU or item code, description and the quantity shipped in this parcel (not necessarily the quantity ordered).
  • Packages and weight for multi-box shipments, and the carrier and tracking number.
  • Notes such as fragile handling, a gift message or how to return an item.

Packing slip, invoice, packing list and challan

A packing slip says what is in the box. An invoice says what is owed; use the invoice generator for that, or a proforma invoice before payment. A packing list is the same idea for freight and export: it adds package counts, net and gross weights and marks, which this slip covers in short form. Where goods move in India without a tax invoice, the delivery challan generator follows the GST rule for that.

For international shipments customs normally also needs a commercial invoice, so check the rules of the destination country with your carrier or broker. This tool does not file anything and is not legal, tax or customs advice.

Worked example

The sample ships three lines: 1 ceramic dripper, 3 packs of filters and 2 mugs, six units in two boxes weighing 3.1 kg. With prices off, the slip shows only quantities and SKUs. Switch prices on and the order value is 28.00 + 3 × 6.50 + 2 × 14.00 = $75.50.

Packing Slip Generator FAQ

What is a packing slip?

A document placed in or on a parcel that lists its contents, the order number and the addresses. It confirms what was shipped and helps the recipient check the delivery.

Should a packing slip show prices?

Usually not. Many sellers leave prices off so that gifts and drop-shipped orders do not reveal what was paid. Tick “Show unit prices” if your customer wants them.

What is the difference between a packing slip and a packing list?

They overlap. “Packing slip” usually means the sheet inside one order’s parcel; “packing list” often means a shipment-level list for freight or export with package counts and weights. Change the title in the form to suit.

Can I use this for export shipments?

You can list the goods, packages, weights and marks. Exports also need documents such as a commercial invoice, so confirm what the destination country and your carrier require.

Does it add a barcode?

No. It prints text, SKUs and tick boxes. Make a barcode with the barcode generator if your warehouse scans them.

Is my data uploaded?

No. The slip is built and saved in your browser only. Use Export JSON for a backup.
