Make a custom crosshair image
This crosshair generator lets you design a crosshair from the usual parts — four lines with a centre gap, a dot, a circle and an outline — in any colour and opacity, and download it as a pixel-perfect transparent PNG or a scalable SVG. Presets cover the classic cross, cross with dot, dot only, T-shape and circle styles.
You see it zoomed in, at real size, and on different backgrounds, and a full-screen preview shows how it looks centred on a screen. It makes images, not in-game codes: crosshair codes are specific to each game, and this tool does not install, inject or overlay anything.
How to make a crosshair
- Start from a preset such as Classic or Cross + dot.
- Switch parts on or off — lines, top line, centre dot, circle, outline — and set length, thickness, gap and sizes in pixels.
- Pick the colour, outline colour and opacity. Try the preview backgrounds to check it stays visible on bright and busy scenes.
- Choose the image size, then Download PNG (1×, 2× or 4×) or Download SVG.
- Use Full-screen preview to see it at real size in the middle of your screen; press Esc or Close to leave.
Crosshair Generator features
Pixel-perfect PNG
Lines snap to whole pixels, so 1-pixel and 3-pixel lines stay sharp, with a transparent background.
All the usual parts
Lines with gap, T-shape, centre dot, circle and outline, each adjustable.
Colour and opacity
Any colour, a separate outline colour, and one opacity for the whole crosshair.
Real-size and full-screen preview
Check the look at 1:1 and on dark, bright, sky and busy backgrounds.
PNG or SVG
Download at 1×, 2× or 4×, or as an SVG that scales to any size.
How the crosshair is drawn
Every part is built from whole-pixel rectangles around the centre of the image, plus an optional ring. The centre is placed on a pixel boundary for even line thickness and in the middle of a pixel for odd thickness, so edges never fall between pixels and blur. The outline is the same rectangles grown by the outline width and painted underneath, which keeps the gap and line lengths exactly as you set them.
Gap from centre is the distance from the centre to the start of each line. Opacity is applied once to the finished crosshair, so where the outline and colour overlap the image does not get darker. The same shape list produces the preview, the SVG and the PNG, so what you see is what you download.
Can a website put a crosshair over my game?
No. A web page can only draw inside its own browser tab; it cannot appear on top of other programs or games, and this tool does not ship any executable, extension or injector. The full-screen preview shows your design centred on a full browser screen so you can judge its size and colour — nothing more.
Some games let you choose a custom crosshair image or build one in their settings, and some streaming and overlay apps can show an image on screen. Overlays from other software may be against a game’s rules or flagged by anti-cheat, especially in competitive modes, so read the rules first. For practice in the browser, the aim trainer is a good place to try a style.
Choosing a crosshair
- Colour: bright green, cyan, yellow and magenta stand out against most maps; check the busy background preview.
- Outline: a 1-pixel black outline keeps thin crosshairs visible on bright scenes.
- Gap: a small gap keeps the target visible; a larger one helps judge spread.
- Size: on high-resolution screens, use 2× or 4× PNGs or the SVG so the image is not scaled up blurrily.
Crosshair Generator FAQ
How do I make a crosshair PNG?
Design it here, choose the image size and press Download PNG. The background is transparent, so only the crosshair shows.
Can I use this crosshair in my game?
Only if your game or a tool you trust lets you load a custom image. This site does not install anything and a web page cannot draw over a game. Check the game’s rules on overlays.
Does this make in-game crosshair codes?
No. Codes are different for every game. Use the numbers here (length, thickness, gap, outline) as a guide when you set the crosshair in your game’s own menu.
What size should a crosshair PNG be?
64 × 64 px is plenty for a normal crosshair at 1080p. Use 2× or 4× for 1440p or 4K screens, or the SVG for any size.
Why does my 1-pixel crosshair look blurry elsewhere?
It is being scaled. Show the PNG at exactly 100 % size, or download a larger scale.
Is the PNG transparent?
Yes. Everything outside the crosshair is fully transparent, and the opacity slider makes the crosshair itself see-through.
