An AI description generator that sticks to your facts
This AI description generator turns a name, a one-line “what is it” and a few key facts into ready-to-edit descriptions: an about-us section, a Google Play or App Store listing, an event, a course, a podcast, an Etsy-style listing or a company profile. You get three versions at a time, each with length meters for the field it is meant for.
Descriptions go wrong in two ways: they say too little (“We are passionate about quality”) or they say things that aren’t true. So the page keeps you in charge of the facts. Every number in a draft is compared with the facts you typed, invented ones are flagged, and a small feature-to-benefit helper suggests how to tell readers what each fact means for them.
The writing happens in your browser — through its built-in AI or IBM’s open Granite 4.0 Nano model, which downloads only if you agree. If neither is available, three seeded template versions are built from your facts on the spot.
How to write a description
- Pick what the description is for and type the Name, What is it? (“a neighbourhood bakery”) and, optionally, Who is it for?
- List the Key facts, one per line — what it does, where, since when, how many. Open Feature → benefit helper to see a benefit starter for each fact.
- Add a Call to action if you want one, and choose the Tone, Length and Language.
- Press Write descriptions with AI (the page asks before any download) or Template ideas for instant versions without AI.
- Check the meters and notes, press ↻ for a new version of one, ☆ to keep it, and copy or export the ones you like.
AI Description Generator features
Eight kinds of description
About section, Google Play listing, App Store listing, event, course, podcast, Etsy-style listing and company profile — each with its own parts and limits.
Store limits built in
Google Play: 80-character short and 4,000-character full description. App Store: 30-character subtitle, 170-character promotional text, 4,000-character description.
Fact guard
Numbers that aren’t in your facts are flagged in every draft. Templates only use what you typed, so they never trigger it.
Store-rule hints
Google Play listings are checked for ranking claims (“best”, “#1”) and price words (“free”, “20% off”), which Play’s listing guidance asks you to leave out.
Feature → benefit helper
A rule list written for this page suggests a benefit starter for each fact — “Delivers within 3 km” becomes “so you don’t have to make the trip”.
Worked example
With the page’s sample — About section, “Saffron Lane Bakery”, “a neighbourhood bakery”, “families in Indiranagar”, four facts, Friendly, Medium, English, seed 1 — the second template version reads:
“Saffron Lane Bakery is a neighbourhood bakery made for families in Indiranagar. We bake sourdough and pav fresh every morning. We use millet flour in half our range. We opened in 2019. We deliver within 3 km. Order before 10 am for same-day delivery.”
Each fact that starts with a verb (“Bakes…”, “Opened in…”) is turned into a sentence in the voice that suits the type: “we” for about sections, company profiles and shop listings; “it” for apps, events and courses. At 44 words it sits under the 54-word floor of the Medium target (about 90 words), so the meter turns amber: a nudge to add a fact or two, or to let the AI expand it. Switch to App — Google Play listing and the first version’s short description is “Neighbourhood bakery for families in Indiranagar.” — 49 of 80 characters.

Writing descriptions people trust
- Lead with what it is and who it is for; the first sentence is often all that shows in previews and app store search.
- Swap adjectives for facts: “fresh every morning” and “within 3 km” say more than “high quality” and “convenient”.
- Google Play’s listing guidance asks developers to avoid ranking claims, price promotions, unattributed testimonials, ALL CAPS and irrelevant emoji — good advice anywhere.
- Keep one description per page. For physical products with bullets and marketplace limits, use the AI Product Description Generator; for the snippet under a search result, the AI Meta Description Generator; for profile bios, the Social Bio Generator.
AI Description Generator FAQ
How do I write an about us section?
Start with what you are and who you serve, add two to four concrete facts (what you make, where, since when), and end with one clear next step. Type those facts into this AI description generator and compare the three versions.
How long can a Google Play description be?
The short description can have up to 80 characters and the full description up to 4,000, according to Play Console Help. The meters here count characters and turn red over the limit.
What is the difference between a feature and a benefit?
A feature is what something has or does (“delivers within 3 km”); a benefit is what that means for the reader (“so you don’t have to make the trip”). Descriptions that only list features make the reader do that work.
Will the AI make up facts?
It is told not to, but small models sometimes add numbers, awards or quotes. Every draft is labelled “AI draft — check facts”, and numbers that don’t appear in your facts are flagged.
Can it write in Hindi or Hinglish?
Yes. Type your facts in Hindi or English and choose हिन्दी or Hinglish; the templates use Hindi or Hinglish openings, and the AI is asked to write in that language (Hindi runs on the open model, as Chrome’s built-in AI doesn’t support it).
Is my information sent anywhere?
No. Drafts are written by your browser’s built-in AI or the open model on your device, or by templates on the page. Favourites are stored only in this browser.
